PHIL 164.001 – Morality and Business

Instructor: Aaron Thieme. This course meets via remote, mostly asynchronous (RM) instruction.

This course explores a range of ethical issues that arise in contemporary business contexts. We will discuss the responsibilities of corporations, the limits of markets, the challenges of globalization, and the most cutting-edge issues involving AI, big data, and algorithms. The main aim is to acquaint you with, and facilitate your understanding of, the deepest ethical problems facing business and the way it’s practiced in our world today.
