PHIL 165.001 – Bioethics
Instructor: Chris Blake-Turner. This course meets TR 8:00 -9:15 a.m. in CW 213.
An exploration of the ethical issues surrounding some of the most important events in human lives, from procreation to the end of life. We’ll discuss questions such as: Is abortion morally permissible? What about euthanasia? Do parents have duties to screen and select their embryos before pregnancy? Should we use technology to improve our physical, cognitive, or moral capacities beyond the human standard?
