Introduction to Philosophy: Main Problems (PHIL 101/002)
Instructor: Dan Layman. This course meets Monday – Friday from 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. in Peabody 216.
In this course, we will consider central questions from each of the major areas of philosophical inquiry: ethics, political theory, theory of knowledge, metaphysics (including philosophy of religion), and philosophy of mind. The course is designed to help students develop core analytical and argumentative skills and to provide a firm general framework for further philosophical study.
