Instructor: Minji Jang. This course meets MWF 9:05 – 9:55 a.m. in PE 306.

This course will explore some of the central questions in environmental ethics. What do we owe to nature, non-human species, and fellow human beings? How can we fulfill these obligations? What are the interconnections between the domination of nature/non-human entities and that of women?

Potential discussions topics include: the value of nature, moral status and rights of non-human species, ethical issues surrounding global climate change, feminist environmental philosophy, and more.

There are no prerequisites for this course, but one PHIL or ENEC course is strongly recommended before enrolling.
