PHIL 112.001 – Making Sense of Ourselves

Instructor: Sarah Stroud. This course meets MW 11:15 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. in CA 111, with a recitation on Fridays.

An examination of some of the ways in which both classic and contemporary philosophical texts have posed and investigated some fundamental questions about human beings and the human condition. We will consider such questions as: What are we? Is there meaning in life? Why is death bad, if indeed it is?
