PHIL/LING 145.001 – Language and Communication

Instructor: Sara Copic. This course meets MWF 10:10 – 11:00 a.m. in DE 305.

This class will be an introduction to philosophy of language with a basic introduction to syntax and semantics, as well as an exploration of the differences between meaning and communication. We will explore the differences between formal languages, natural languages, and non-linguistic ways of communicating.
