Instructor: Emily Kelahan. This course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM-12:15PM.

This course will explore some perennial philosophical problems and themes by reading and discussing selected “Great Works” in philosophy.  The authors we will read include Plato, Descartes, Hume, Mill, Sartre, and Nagel.  We will address questions regarding the value of our values, God’s existence, the external world, moral decision making, miracles, and the nature of the human mind.  The format of this class will be a hybrid of interactive lecture and small and large group discussion.
