PHIL/POLI/ECON 384.003 – Gateway to Philosophy, Politics, and Economics
Instructor: Samuel Fullhart. This course meets TR 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. in FH 104.
This interdisciplinary course provides an introduction to some of the core tools used to analyze issues at the intersection of philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE). We cover a range of theoretical topics, including game theory, social choice, public choice, property, markets, distributive justice, and voting. We will read classical and contemporary sources, and explore their applications to contemporary issues including climate change, automation and unemployment, inequality, and freedom of speech.
