PHIL 330.001 – Metaphysics
Instructor: Carla Merino-Rajme. This course meets TR 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. in PE 2066.
This is an upper-level course that focuses on some of the central questions in metaphysics. These include: What is the nature of time? Is there a fundamental asymmetry between the past and the future? Can we change the past? Are the past and the future real? Is time travel possible? What is the nature of a person? What is it for a person to persist? Are we free? Can there be free will in a deterministic world?
Prerequisite: 1 PHIL course.
