PHIL 165.001 – Bioethics
Instructor: Joseph Porter. This course meets MWF 10:10 – 11:00 a.m. in NW 219.
Is abortion wrong? What about euthanasia, or eating meat, or having children—or not? Bioethicists investigate ethical issues like these in medicine, public health, and other related fields. In this course, we will explore some important issues in bioethics and consider what they can teach us more broadly about ethical life and thought. No prior experience with philosophy is expected or required.
