In this course, we will discuss a variety of ethical issues arising from the advancement of artificial intelligence and related technologies. Some of the potential discussion topics include the following: What would the future of AI look like, and how should we prepare for it? Should we be worried or excited? How should we think about the moral status and agency of machines? Can machines replace humans? Who is liable for the harms and wrongs done by autonomous machines? What can our interactions with these machines teach us about our values?

*This is an introductory course which does not presume any background in philosophy (or AI).
