Instructor: James Sias. This course meets Monday – Friday from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m.

In this class, we’ll explore three of the most central issues in philosophy. We’ll begin with the nature of morality. Is it a human invention? Are there objective moral truths? Can we have moral knowledge? Then we’ll discuss free will. Do we have free will? Is free will compatible with what the sciences tell us about the world? And what is the relationship between free will and moral responsibility? And finally, we’ll examine arguments for and against the existence of God.
