PHIL 164.001 – Morality and Business
Instructor: Brookes Brown. This course meets MW 12:20 – 1:35 p.m. in AR 218.
This class will consider the ethics of our behavior as consumers, employees and business people. Half of the class will focus on moral issues we face as consumers and employees, and half will focus on ethical questions that confront employers and regulators. Topics to be considered include fair trade, exploitation, gender in the workplace, advertising, corporate social responsibility, and human rights concerns. The class will focus heavily on discussion and writing.
