Instructor: Pavel Nitchovski. This course meets MTWRF 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. via remote synchronous (RS) instruction.

In this course we will discuss certain ethical questions that arise from the fact that we are, at our core, embodied biological creatures.  Some of the topics we might consider are: the moral permissibility of abortion, the ethics of meat consumption, euthanasia, the right to healthcare, and transhumanism. We will approach these topics with a philosophical eye, grappling specifically with the moral implications that they raise. No previous knowledge of philosophy is required or expected—only the willingness to think and engage with difficult questions.
