Instructor: Syl Kocieda. This course meets MW 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. in CW 103.

This course introduces students to the fundamental issues and methods of philosophy through reading and discussion of ancient, modern, and contemporary works. Metaphysics, epistemology, the philosophy of mind and ethics will be among the areas explored. Problems in race, gender and animality will be considered as well. This course is designed for students with no background in philosophy.
