PHIL 101.001 – Introduction to Philosophy: Central Problems, Great Minds, Big Ideas

Instructor: Gabriella Hulsey. This course meets MWF 9:05 – 9:55 a.m. in PE 2028.

In this course, we’ll reflect on and develop considered views about the nature of some of the most significant issues philosophers have tackled. This course will provide you with overview of major topics in epistemology, ethics, social and political philosophy, and metaphysics. The course does not require any background in or familiarity with philosophy. The course is designed to help students to develop their critical reasoning, reading, and writing skills. All readings will be available on Sakai or through the UNC Library.
