PHIL/WGST 275.001 – Moral and Philosophical Issues of Gender in Society
Instructor: Ripley Stroud. This course meets MTWRF 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. via remote synchronous (RS) instruction.
This course will explore the ethical and philosophical dimensions of gender in society. We will examine the ways in which gender is constructed and performed, and how it intersects with other forms of identity such as race, class, and sexuality. The course will investigate a range of topics (e.g. the right to abortion, interpersonal relationships, objectification, and gaslighting) in order to investigate the moral implications of gender norms and practices.
