Instructor: Kate Nolfi. This course meets Monday – Friday from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m.

In this course, we will explore different philosophical perspectives about right and wrong, justice, human values, and moral reasoning.  In exploring this literature, we will focus our efforts on trying to understand what it is about any particular action that makes that action good, bad, morally right, or morally wrong and on trying to understand how one appropriately decides what is the good or right thing to do or way to live.  Readings will be drawn from a variety of historical and contemporary sources.  All readings will be posted on e-reserve (students will not be required to purchase texts for this course).
