Instructor: Dana Falkenberg. This course meets TR 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. in CW 103.

We will explore the ways in which gender makes a difference to the ways in which we experience the world, the ways we think about ourselves, and the moral significance of these differences.  Some of the major theoretical concepts covered will include oppression, sexism, equality, gender essentialism, and intersectionality.  We will also explore the practical issues of gender in the workplace, reproduction and childrearing, pornography, rape, ideals of beauty, and sexist language.

Attendance and active participation required.
