Philosophy and Psychiatry Research Group Meeting

The UNC Philosophy and Psychiatry Research Group (PPRG) consists of Resident Physicians and Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry, Neurologists, Philosophers, and Medical Ethicists.  The next PPRG meeting will be Wednesday, October 14, 2020. We are going to meet on Zoom to discuss Nomy Arpaly’s forthcoming paper “Quality of Will and (Some) Unusual Behavior”. The paper examines the topic of holding people responsible for their actions in contexts where they exhibit “unusual behavior”.  If you would like to attend the meeting and obtain a copy of the paper, e-mail daniel_moseley@med.unc.edu. Attendance is limited to faculty and graduate students. Nomy Arpaly is a Professor of Philosophy at Brown University, and she has tentatively agreed to join us for the discussion.
