Voting Rights Forum: Examining the Causes, Effects, and Solutions to Voter Disenfranchisement in the United States

Please join the Parr Center for Ethics for a wide-ranging discussion of voter disenfranchisement in the United States. We will discuss multiple aspects of this issue including gerrymandering, reduced early voting, voter ID laws, and felon disenfranchisement, and we will also discuss possible solutions ranging from redistricting to universal voter registration.

Our panel will include:
Gary Bartlett (Former Director, North Carolina State Board of Elections
Anita Earls (Executive Director, Southern Coalition for Social Justice)
Dennis Gaddy (Executive Director, Community Success Initiative)
Isela Gutiérrez-Gunter (Associate Research Director, Democracy North Carolina)
