Gerard Rothfus joined the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program at UNC as a Teaching Assistant Professor on August 1, 2022. Before coming to UNC, he was a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Konstanz (Germany), where he assisted Wolfgang Spohn’s Koselleck Project on the foundations of decision and game theory. He earned his PhD in Philosophy and MA in Mathematical Behavioral Science from UC Irvine. Today, his research interests include decision theory and formal approaches to ethics and epistemology.
