2nd Annual Chapel Hill Normativity Workshop A workshop on normativity, broadly construed. There will be seven talks - six filled via an open call for papers, plus a keynote delivered by Prof. Julia Markovits (Cornell), plus drinks, a workshop dinner, and friendly conversation. This is the second installment of the workshop, after a successful inaugural workshop last year.

Summer Teaching Orientation This workshop aims to prepare participants for teaching a summer course. It is especially aimed at those who have not taught a summer course previously, but should also be useful for those who have. Teaching Workshop
Assessment. This final teaching workshop of the academic year focuses on assessment. Izzy Brassfield, Minji Jang, and Macy Salzberger will lead us in a discussion on best assessment practices, including: thinking about how to use formative and summative assessment; grading fairly; and grading hard-to-measure learning outcomes.

Join us as we celebrate our Class of 2019 graduates! The Philosophy Department ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m. in Murphey Hall room 116. All are welcome - you do not need a ticket to attend.
