“When Hobbes is an Optimist: Politics Among the Malevolent.”
Professor Lomasky is the Cory Professor of Political Philosophy, Policy and Law. He is the Director of the Political Philosophy, Policy and Law Program at the University of Virginia. Professor Lomasky’s books include Persons, Rights, and the Moral Community (Oxford University Press, 1987); Democracy and Decision: The Pure Theory of Electoral Preference, co-authored with Geoff Brennan (Cambridge University Press, 1993) and he co-edited, with G. Brennan, Politics and Process: New Essays in Democratic Theory(Cambridge University Press, 1989).
