Together with Kurt Gray (UNC Psychology), Jeff Greene (UNC School of Education), and Giulia Napolitano (Erasmus University Rotterdam, formerly UNC Philosophy), Associate Professor Alex Worsnip has been awarded a two-year grant in excess of $175,000 from the Humility in Inquiry Project at Arizona State University, itself funded by the John Templeton Foundation. With this grant, Prof. Worsnip and colleagues will pursue an interdisciplinary research project on deference to experts, bringing together philosophical and psychological perspectives. UNC Philosophy graduate student Devin Lane will be also be an integral team member in his capacity as Research Assistant for the first year of the grant project.
