We are delighted to share that UNC Philosophy has been ranked joint #1 in the world (by “Overall Program Rating”) in the recent Academic Philosophy Data & Analysis (APDA) rankings of philosophy PhD programs, with a score of 4.7/5. The APDA project is “an ongoing project that collects, analyzes, and distributes data concerning philosophy PhD programs and graduates, with a special focus on job placement.” In addition to data on job placement, the ranking also takes into account ratings for climate, teaching support, research support, and financial support.
