PHIL 105.002 – How to Reason and Argue: An Introduction to Critical Thinking

This is a course about how to think critically and reason well. In particular, we will study how to identify, analyze, and evaluate the various arguments we encounter in our lives. Topics include argument reconstruction (and construction), common argumentative mistakes (“fallacies”), inductive logic, and introductory formal logic.
