Instructor: Dana Falkenberg. This course meets Monday – Friday from 9:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. in Caldwell 103.

This course will address some of the fundamental questions of moral philosophy.  How should we live?  What actions are right or wrong and why?  What kinds of characters or character traits are worth our admiration?  Do we have any good reason to be moral, or is morality detrimental to human well-being?  While exploring these questions we will read some of the best and most influential works of philosophy ever written including those by Mill, Kant, Hume and Nietzsche as well as watch several films.  Active participation in critical discussion is required.
