Instructor: Yujia Song. This course meets Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Peabody 216.

This course offers an introduction to the concepts central to feminist thought: gender, sexuality, stereotype, power, and equality. We will explore feminist perspectives on moral and political theory, and consider questions such as: How are women disempowered in the private and public spheres? What role does (or should) family play in a theory of justice? What is an ethics of care, and what is the relationship between care and justice? We will also have the chance to apply feminist insights to issues in real life, such as racism and gay rights movement.
