IDEAs in Action: Which curricular requirements does this course satisfy?

Instructor: C.D.C. Reeve. This course meets TR 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. via remote synchronous (RS) instruction.

The aim of this course is to introduce you to the philosophy of Western religion, and such central issues for it as the existence of God, the problem of evil, the immortality of soul, and the justification of religious belief, through a close reading of some short texts by significant thinkers, such as the author(s) of Genesis, The Book of Job, The Gospel of Matthew, Hesiod, Plato, Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Anselm, Nietzsche, and Kierkegaard.
