Rob is Associate Director of the Parr Center for Ethics. His primary research interests are in ethics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of education. His writing addresses questions about the psycholinguistics and ethics of irony, the relationship between linguistic and ethical meaning, and the relationship between social science, policy, and pedagogy in contemporary American education. Before entering philosophy, Rob taught U.S. History, Economics, and Government at a vocational school in Brooklyn, and served as the Director of Education Policy for a member of the New York City Council.
