Cal is a third-year graduate student with broad interests in epistemology, mind, and the philosophy of language. He is currently thinking about issues in perception and formal epistemology, and wrote an MA on KK. He is completely mystified by intentionality, normativity, confirmation, mental states, causation, and mental causation. He aspires to one day think about these topics. Before coming to UNC he studied philosophy (and some math) at the University of Chicago.
Outside of philosophy Cal enjoys listening to music, learning to play drums, and woodworking. Fans of this page will know of his previous aspirations to build a “proper bookshelf”; this has since been more or less accomplished (pictures available upon request), and he has of late been suffering a certain aimlessness. He welcomes project suggestions.
