Summer Teaching Orientation
Summer Teaching Orientation This workshop aims to prepare participants for teaching a summer course. It is especially aimed at those who have not taught a summer course previously, but should also be useful for those who have. We'll cover topics such as how summer teaching differs from TAing and from regular-semester TFing. The workshop will be led by Matt Kotzen and Chris Blake-Turner.

Teaching Workshop
Assessment. This final teaching workshop of the academic year focuses on assessment. Izzy Brassfield, Minji Jang, and Macy Salzberger will lead us in a discussion on best assessment practices, including: thinking about how to use formative and summative assessment; grading fairly; and grading hard-to-measure learning outcomes.

Workshop in honor of Jerry Postema

Compass Workshop
Compass is a two-day workshop for diverse undergraduates and terminal MA students interested in philosophy. We aim to create a relaxed and inclusive environment for students to discuss philosophical topics, network, and hone their academic skills. Our hope is that this event contribute to the greater goal of addressing under-representation in professional and academic philosophy.
