50 Years of the Chapel Hill Colloquium in Philosophy
As part of our celebration of the 50th Chapel Hill Colloquium in October 2016, we invited some colleagues, current and former, to begin each session with reflections on 50 years in various areas or subdisciplines of philosophy. We gave them free rein on the tone and content of their remarks, demanding only that they limit themselves to 15 minutes. Thinking that others might find these remarks interesting, and with our colleagues’ permission, we are posting them here.
- Analytic Philosophy in the Middle of the 20th Century, Douglas Long (UNC, emeritus)
- Fifty Years of History of Philosophy, Don Garrett (NYU)
- Fifty Years of Moral Philosophy, Simon Blackburn (UNC)
