Parr Center Forum: The Ethics of Boycotts

February 16, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Many people think that we have a moral duty to boycott harmful practices. But do you make a difference when you boycott a harmful practice? And does your moral duty to boycott this practice depend on whether or not you make a difference? Please join the Parr Center for Ethics for a debate between Shelly Kagan (Philosophy, Yale) and Walter Sinnott-Armstrong (Philosophy, Duke) on these issues. We will start with opening statements, then take questions from a moderator, then take questions from the audience.

This event, which is supported by the Institute for Humane Studies and the John Templeton Foundation, is free and open to all. Pizza will be provided. Please join us!
