Kant on Knowledge of Transcendental Freedom of Will

On a common reading, one major legacy of Kant’s critique of rationalism is that we cannot know the existence of metaphysical, super-sensible objects such as, chiefly, God, the immortality of our soul, and free will; we can only have subjectively rational faith that these things exist. Against this view, I argue that our belief in (absolute, transcendental) freedom of will is not epistemically on par with the beliefs in God and immortality. We can know that we possess freedom of will, whereas we are confined to mere faith in God and immortality.
