Graduate student John Phillips is a winner of the APA’s Sanders Award for the best graduate-student paper submitted to the APA Eastern in philosophy of mind, metaphysics, epistemology, or ethics. Read more here.
On October 24, 2016, the University of Athens conferred the title of doctor honoris causa (the highest honorary title it bestows) on Professor Gerald Postema in recognition of the significance and impact of his work in the philosophy of law.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Matt Kotzen has been awarded UNC’s Philip and Ruth Hettleman Prize for Artistic and Scholarly Achievement by Young Faculty.
The highly prestigious award, established in 1986, recognizes the achievements of outstanding junior tenure-track faculty or recently tenured faculty. A stipulation of the award is that its recipients deliver a lecture to the University community during the academic year.
