Readings will include works of literature containing philosophical material as well as philosophical works with some claim to literary merit. We will explore the degree to which the inclusion of philosophical material enhances or diminishes the success of the literary work, as well as the potential gains and losses inherent in framing a philosophical account within a literary format.
