Instructors: Jonathan Anomaly and Chris Melenovsky. This course meets T 3:05 – 5:35 p.m. in SC 209.

The capstone seminar in PPE is a chance to take some of the tools and concepts you’ve acquired in previous PPE courses and apply them to specific topics. This is also an opportunity for you to write a significant research paper on a PPE-related topic you choose. In the first part of the semester, we’ll discuss readings on core PPE topics. In the second part, students will present work in progress and get feedback from their peers. Each student will be assigned a time slot to present a chunk of their research paper, or talk about a book chapter or article that is central to their paper. Final papers will be submitted on the last day of class.

This course is co-convened at Duke.  Instructor permission is required for enrollment.  Course is for senior PPE minors who have taken the 384 Gateway course and have taken (or are taking) all other courses necessary to complete the PPE minor.

Prerequisite: PHIL/POLI/ECON 384.
