Existential Philosophy (PHIL 224)

We’ll be exploring a selection of 20th-century work in phenomenology and existentialism to get a sense of the role of subjectivity and the subjective conscious perspective in the way we make sense of the world. We’ll read Husserl, Heidegger and Sartre, with special attention paid to the first two thinkers.
