Originally from Washington, D.C., Susanne got her B.A. from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. She completed her dissertation entitled, "Hobbes and the Limits of Political Obligation." Her interests lie primarily in the history of political thought and feminist theory. Susanne has given papers on both topics. The title of her M.A. thesis is "Modern Day Fausts: Hegel in the Alienation of the Wealthy." Susanne was set to begin a tenure track job at Tulane University fall 2005. When Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans we were please to welcome her back for the fall term as a visitng professor.
