Mike Resnik works in logic, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of science, and
the theory of rationality. Among his books are Frege
and the Philosophy of Mathematics (1980), and Choices:
An Introduction to Decision Theory (1987). His recent
books are an anthology, Mathematical Objects and Mathematical
Knowledge (1995), and Mathematics As a Science of
