Sarah Huener has a BA in English from UNC and an MFA in Creative Writing (poetry) from Boston University. As a Robert Pinsky Global Fellow she then traveled in Croatia and Israel. In 2016 she won the Randall Jarrell Poetry Competition. She has published in New Delta Review, The Greensboro Review, Crab Creek Review, Salamander, and in the North Carolina volume of the Southern Poetry Anthology. Sarah has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and was a finalist for the 2014 Pocataligo Poetry Contest. Before joining the PPE Program, Sarah worked as both a sales representative and an administrator for Oxford University Press.
