High School Ethics Bowl
An intellectual challenge has high school teams compete to articulate and defend their positions on important ethical issues.
High School Ethics Bowl is a competitive yet collaborative event in which students analyze and discuss real-life ethical issues. Students defend the position they believe is right and win by showing that they have thought more carefully, deeply, and perceptively about the cases in question. Experience shows that the event encourages and promotes ethical awareness, critical thinking skills, civil discourse, civic engagement, and an appreciation for diverse points of view.
After years of rapid growth at a local, regional, and state level, the first National High School Ethics Bowl will be hosted by the Parr Center for Ethics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on April 19-20, 2013.To learn more about Ethics Bowl competitions, please visit the NHSEB website.
