Department Library

The Philosophy Department’s Library has been revamped!

In addition to the main area of the Library (Jane English Memorial Book Room, Caldwell 106A), we have added two satellite spaces: Caldwell 101A (the area outside the Department Chair’s office) and 105A (in the tower). The books are sorted alphabetically by the author’s last name. Letters A-L are located in the main library space (106A), M-P are outside of the chair’s office (101A), and Q-Z are in the tower (105A).

The complete inventory is here. To borrow books, please fill out the Library Check-out Log. This Log is in a black binder, which is hanging on the wall in 106A next to the door leading to the hall. As you enter the library, the binder will be on your right. To access the books, you will need keys to the appropriate room and shelf. To borrow the keys, go to Main Office (Caldwell 101) or email Jo Garrett.
When returning books, please note the date of return in the Log, retrieve the keys from the Main Office, and reshelve them appropriately.
